Copenhagen Continued

Right-O, next day, 19/8/008. Met up with Jan again and we headed off to check some abandoned train carriages out in a DSB yard. These guys don't mind leaving gates open, and holes in fences so access was nice and easy. We had a look at some really nice old carriages, up to 80 years old in some cases. But it's a pity all the nice old wooden ones were graffed. They were otherwise in a really nice state of decay, just sitting there, slowly being reclaimed by nature, rust and moss just growing away undisturbed. There were people living in the yard in caravans, I don't know if they worked for DSB or if they were squatting, but they didn't mind us in there taking photos, and they keep the grass inbetween the carriages nicely mown.

After the old trains, we went to some old cranes. They are old container cranes that unloaded, um, containers off trains. Too many rhymes. Anyway, apart from being covered in graff, they looked pretty much intact. Even all the circuit and electrical stuff was perfect. There wasn't too much to see here, so we just had a beer on the roof then off again.

Walking back towards the city, we stumbled across a new find: a couple of warehouses and an office block with a decent basement, and the power and water still on after 2 years. This place was pretty nice, the graffers hadn't got into it much yet, but it looked like someone had a party in the basement a while ago. There was also a really neat model of some apartments, that are probably ugly as sin in real life, that lit up in this cool blue light.

After that, Jan went off and I met up with Shining, also from abandon.dk. We went back to check out the cranes because Shining hadn't been there, and it was all good until we left. These graffer kids sprung out of the bushes like the viet cong or something and started following us. I thought we were gonna get rolled or worse. Luckily they spoke first, and some quick thinking and fast talking from Shining got us outa there in piece. As he explained to me later, those kids watch all the yards around the city, checking for seccas and people invading their turf, for the real graff gangsterz of the Monsters Of Art crew. These guys are nuts, and there little watch out crews are usually the swing first, no questions later type so we got lucky that night.

We then took in another smaller Sauna, and called it a night
